SKI AND SNOWBOARD
That Extra Mile!
Les Gets and Morzine are two of twelve resorts in the Portes du Soleil ski domain. Avoriaz, Linga, Ch’tel, Torgon, Morgins, Champoussin, Les Crosets, Champery, Grand Terche & La Chappelle d'Abondance are the other 10 resorts in the Portes du Soleil. A fabulous 650km of piste is ready and waiting for you to explore! We are happy to accompany guests on a days skiing and share our knowledge of the area. This may be especially helpful for those of you who are new to the resorts.
Beginner
The nursery slopes on the Chavannes pistes of Les Gets and the Pleney area of Morzine are excellent locations for learning and are very accessible. Both locations provide easy group meeting points after ski school or for lunch!
Intermediate
The ski areas of Les Gets and Morzine are an intermediate's paradise. The slopes of Ranfolly, Rosta and La Turche offer endless blues and reds. Tree lined pistes and wide 'motorways' are plentiful. The larger area of the Portes du Soleil will never fail to satisfy a skiers/boarders quest for adventure.
Advanced
Whether you prefer steep challenging groomed pistes or off piste powder you will not be disappointed in Les Gets and Morzine. The most challenging slopes in Les Gets are on Mont Chery and Nyon/ Chamossiere in Morzine. The Mont ChÈry snowpark gets hands down approval from freestylers for its numerous moguls and aerials, extending along a span of nearly one kilometer. Adrenalin junkies will find other snowparks throughout the Portes du Soleil.
Great for the children
Les Gets & Morzine are particularly excellent resorts for little ones to learn to ski. There is a choice of ski schools offering group and private instruction and the runs are wide, open and easily accessible. For young ones, childcare provision is excellent. Creches are ideally located in both resorts, taking the hassle out of childcare. The children will enjoy the 'Petit Trains' that run in both Les Gets and Morzine. The Les Gets train links the Chavannes piste with Mont Chery. The train in Morzine links the Pleney slopes to the Super Morzine telecabine.
